A weekend on the coast
A wedding weekend is three meals that should not repeat each other. Friday is a supper for the people who have already arrived, cooked so that no one is still in the kitchen at midnight. Saturday is the long table. Sunday is breakfast and whatever fruit is left.
The guest list, including children and anyone who does not eat a particular thing, is written down before I shop. Preferences and allergies are accommodated on request. I do not guess them on the day.
Flowers, photographs and the wine service belong to the people you have asked to do those jobs. I cook. The quote covers the food, the shopping and the hours in the kitchen. It is written once the date and the numbers are known.
